*In order to help reduce the pet overpopulation and keep pets healthy in Rutherford County, the Community Pet Center began a low-cost Spay and Neuter Program several years ago.
*All pets receive the following five services: Spay/Neuter Surgery, Pain Medication Injection, Wellness Exam, Rabies Vaccine, Distemper/Parvo or Distemper Feline Vaccine. Due to a price increase at Animal Allies, the cost is $100 for cats and $110 for dogs as of July 1, 2024 and can be paid in cash (exact amount) or money order. Dogs must weigh 50# or less to qualify.
*Pre-registration and payment is required! This program is open to any resident of Rutherford County, regardless of income.
*A pre-registration form can be submitted from our spay/neuter form link on this website. Once submitted, just stop in under the carport on Tuesday or Friday between 10 am and 12:30 pm to register and pay to secure your spot. Space is limited.
Please note:
*If you believe that your dog is 50 # or more you must bring your pet to the CPC office to be weighed prior to pre-scheduling an appointment with our Spay/Neuter Program.
Additional Information: Please bring any vaccination records you have for your pet/s on the day of the surgery. Make sure your pet/s do not have any food or water after midnight the night before the surgery. ALL cats must be in a plastic carrier; sanitized crates will be provided for dogs.
*If you miss your appointment, you will not receive a refund as we will be charged the full amount of your pet/sā surgical appointment/s. If you want to re-schedule; you will need to pre-pay.
