About

Who We Are:

The Community Pet Center (CPC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with an all- volunteer base. We are organized exclusively for service to the community through charitable, informational and educational activities. We provide FREE pet food for low-income families, sponsor by-monthly low-cost spay/neuter programs, promote responsible pet ownership in Rutherford County and assist with rescues. We launched a “Pet Education in the Classroom” program for 3rd- graders and in 2018 have expanded it to the middle and high schools.

Our Goals:

Promote the reduction of cats and dogs destroyed in Rutherford County through spaying and neutering. This reduces the pet overpopulation and unnecessary destruction of healthy adoptable animals. Promote responsible pet ownership through our “Pet Education in the Classroom” program. Enrich the lives of animals and help the citizens of Rutherford County through our FREE Pet Food Pantry. Work with our partner rescue groups to save cats and dogs.
